Unprepared
Finally with all the test done with, I can proudly proclaim that I am finally free!!!! The past few weeks were like kinda crazy, rushing to study from one test to the other, and the finale of the Macro test which is tested on 10 chapters, when the module has 12 chapters. Madness lah!! But well, at least its all over, a short period to relax and unwind before the stress of starting to prepare for the exams which I am so sure is going to be a nightmare period.
Anyway, I finally passed my damn IPPT which means NO more RT!!! YEAH!!! haha but then no monetary incentive cause I failed to meet the pass + 15 standard, should I retake the test and try again? $100 bucks lehz...
Anyhow, schedules going to be real busy for the next few months till after the exams and the competition. Imagine, sea training almost 4 times a week at Kallang to train for the upcoming round ubin competition and a whole workload of theory to cramp into this puny brain of mine... Well, live and let live, just have to cope with it I guess..
As with regards to the upcoming round ubin marathon, I feel kinda unprepared. Its like I cant even keep up with Captain Timon, Abu and all the rest, and the worst is I lack the mental strength to keep on rowing when I'm tired.. I dunno if I can live up to the peep's expectations but I hope I can...
Meanwhile, I am contemplating whether to sign up for the work and travel USA, however much I want to sign up for the event, the cash flow is going to be an issue.. And I think I have less than a week left to really think things through.. How sia....

Busy Busy Busy!!!
Bon Soir everyone!!!
Haven had time to update my blog recently till like today... So I apologise for the sudden influx of blog posts about past events that occured.. Actually, I haven even finish posting everything haha but that can wait for another time I guess...
Well, allow me to provide a brief update as to what I have been up to in the month of September.. Mugging for tests, just cleared the price theory today and the biz finance last week. One more test, Macro, to go but the test comprises of a shocking 10 chapters when the entire module has 12 chapters!!! I have no idea how I am going to complete studying the whole damn thing lah given that my schedule is rather packed.... Okie okie, not as packed as Clara, Wini or Pei yu I guess, but still packed...
Oh and yes, I have been attending French classes recently and oh my it is so damn difficult. The lecturer goes on and on in French while gesturing vividly with body actions to allow us to try decipher what she was saying. And for those who are thinking that she doesnt speak english, she does. Its just that to better cultivate our ability to understand French, that's why she is teaching the way she is... In the 2nd lesson, we were suppose to try and answer the questions she asked in French but I could not make out what she was saying, although when everything was written out I sort of knew... Sigh, I hope I am not wasting money for the course man cause its not really cheap. Am poorer by $300 already because of the course, well better make full use of the time to learn the language I guess... Haha maybe in the future, I will be able to speak French fluently? Haha its a thought right?
Was looking through some past photos when I stumbled across these photos. Allow me to introduce this sweet looking girl known by many as Wai Sian. A close friend of mine and someone who never fails to make me smile. Once a tomboy, after some proper coaching and advice, she has matured into a blooming flower that everyone is after her haha.. Well that's that, both of us have been rather busy lately with no time to meet up to have a really good talk over a cup of tea.. Haha maybe after my exams, we should take some time to catch up ya?

Me in the past and the future???
I just had to blog about this.. Recently, ever since the start of this semester, I have been told that either I resemble one of their friends or someone looked like me. I was like going OMG, they really do look like me or rather I look like them. Dun believe me? Take a look at the pictures below:

Me in the past? (Actually this is Agnes's friend)

Me in the future? (Wini took this pic somewhere)
Man, I really felt like killing myself when I saw the "future" me, so UGLY lahz!!!!! Well, not that I was very good looking in the first place but ya... Haha I think I am going to run more to lose those fats in order not to turn into the "future" me... Gosh, I really cant imagine me that size sia...
Anyway, due to certain debts that I have not been able to clear and my overspending, I am officially broke!! Even came up with drastic measures such as to ask belle and ariel to prepare lunch (ie bread) for a fee of $1. Have no idea why like everyone is so broke this semester... Not to mention myself.... But that's another story...
Took IPPT today and guess what... I failed the damn test again, which means I have to attend RT 3 times a week for 2 mths.... I kinda feel like killing myself lah as the RT period will clash with the exam period which is quite bad considering that I am not really doing that well for this semester. Failed the miserable SBJ station by a miserable 4 cm when I could clear it easily in the past... After that, had no mood to run the 2.4km so came back with a timing of 1423, which I believe I can do better.. The next best thing that happened was I actually ran 7 rounds, instead of 6 rounds, for my 2.4km... yes yes, go ahead and laugh... I cant imagine the others reaction when they hear of this...

Nike 10K Run
Finally, the long anticipated or rather dreaded day has arrived. Its finally 31/08/08, the day where the Nike Run has been scheduled on. Met up with Pam, Mel, Jason and Zam to have brunch at Subway before going to Wisma to repair Zam's phone. While waiting for Pei yu to reach, we decided to camwhore a bit as we were feeling rather bored.

After Pei yu arrived, we headed down to city hall to find the baggage counter as we were afraid that there would not be enough places to put our bags as there were only 5,000 spaces available at the baggage counter. Though the counter only opens at 1515, we decided to be the kiasu Singaporeans we are and just headed there early. Surprisingly, there wasnt that much people there yet but yup the weather look like it was threatening to rain...

The various colour tags that we signed up for:
Red for under 50 mins(Jason and Nizam)
*As a side note, both of them changed to the green tag as they felt rather embarrassed to wear the red tag as they were not confident of completing the race under the timeBlue for under 65 mins (Peiyu and Melissa)
Green for over 65 mins (Clarence and Pamela)

And soon it was time to go... The running road was rather narrow at some places, thereby resulting in a mini human jam of sorts when some of the participants started walking. Was kinda irritating as we had to jog, stop, walk, jog, stop and ya so on.. Lost sight of Peiyu, Zam and the rest before the first water point as they were rather fast and I had to accompany Pam. Haha anyway if I were to follow their pace, I would not last for the entire 10 click loh haha.. Was supposed to meet up at the first water point but when we reached there, nobody was there, haha so much for meeting up at the first water point, oh well....
Ran into Florence, Isabelle, Kylie and Pamela Lee along the run too. Chit chatted a bit while running the run before we broke off into our individual comfortable speeds. But my gosh, they really can run la haha. The running route took us through the whole of Clarke Quay area and you really cant tell when the end is coming cause the running route looks so damn long. However, I had this rather weird sensation in my entire body while running. I felt kinda light, as if I could fly anytime.. Haha okie maybe that was a little bit exaggerated but you know what I mean... Stopping for a water break was a major killer for me, haha the moment I stopped, it was like the lactic acid were all settling into the muscles, making my limbs feel as if it weighed a damn ton...
Anyway, I completed the 10 click run in 1 hour and 24 mins. Felt rather accomplished that I could hit this timing, as I was expecting to complete the whole run in 1 hour and 30 mins. As I was about to enter the Nike Village, I saw Angeline there at the entrance. Lol and to think I was looking for her throughout the whole race as I heard from Wai Sian that she would be helping out at the event. Finally met up with all the rest after I searched through the entire throng of people in a sea of red. My my and when I asked their timings, they were like damn fast lahz!!! Nizam ran the 10k in 1 hour and 02 mins, Pei yu in 1 hour and 15 mins, the rest haha cant really rem but all around that timing one.. Saw Sarah and Lex there too!!

Still looking energetic after the run

The ladies with their "Certs"

Charlie's Angels?
After cooling down and relaxing for a while, Mel, Pam, Kylie, Zam, Jason and I left for Marina Square for dinner. Met up with Marcus, Kenny and Richard and ate at the food court and slacked at Mac's for a while. Even played the handiplas game which left the guys in pain (me being the exception... Haha Pumba thick skin or maybe Kenny didnt really hit me haha). Well thats the end of the day, rather fulfilling I would say haha maybe I can try for the 21k next time round? Will post more photos when Kylie sends the photos taken with her camera haha
